Innovation in trials program

Do you have a research idea that breaks new ground? Would you like to collaborate with researchers at a world-class clinical trials centre?

The 2022 Innovation in Trials Program supports the development of new or early stage collaborative research across the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre (CTC) and University of Sydney.

Four Awards of up to $50,000 each are available for investigators to undertake essential, preliminary work to support a competitive grant submission at the end of the funding period.

The majority of this funding will be provided as in-kind support by the CTC in the form of mentorship, and advice relating to areas like clinical trials design, grant development, project management and biostatistics.

Researchers of various levels of experience and expertise, who are currently employed by the University of Sydney Faculty of Medicine and Health, are encouraged to apply. Either the lead applicant or a listed mentor must have a current appointment at the CTC. If necessary, please contact Merilyn Heuschkel for advice on CTC academics with potential capacity to serve as mentoring investigators.

Applications close at 5pm, Friday 30 September 2022. Researchers of various levels of experience and expertise are encouraged to apply.
