Dr Rashidul Alam Mahumud

Research Fellow - Health Economics

Dr Rashidul Mahumud (Rashed) joined the CTC in 2020 and has extensive experience in the domain of health economics, clinical epidemiology, artificial intelligence, and public health in oncology, IMAGE trials, and chronic disease management. Rashed currently works as Research Fellow in Health Economics to assess the clinical and economic value of various cancer treatments.

Before joining the CTC, Rashed worked as a postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Western Sydney University. He also spent five years as a health economist researcher at icddr,b. His research interests include clinical trial, economic evaluation, clinical epidemiology, health outcome measures, and patient preferences using a discrete choice experiment. He holds an Associate Editor (BMC Public Health- Health Economics). Rashed is passionate about supervising HDR students on health economics domain. In 2020, he was also awarded the Australian Government ‘Distinguished Talent’ Award for exceptional academic and research performances.
