Dr Mbathio Dieng

Senior Research Fellow

Dr Mbathio Dieng is a Senior Research Fellow (Epidemiologist/Health economist) at the CTC looking at the clinical benefits and economic implications of Computed tomography (CT) and positron emission tomography (PET)/CT surveillance imaging in Stage III melanoma patients. She is also leading an innovative research program on how to integrate environmental impacts in Health Technology Assessment. She conducted her PhD at Sydney Medical School, The University of Sydney, Australia. She was awarded Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Sydney in 2016 and was awarded Peter Bancroft Prize within the Sydney Medical School for her thesis. Before joining the CTC, Mbathio was working at the Cancer Epidemiology and Prevention Research Centre and the Sydney School of Public Health. She obtained her Masters of International Public Health at the University of Sydney, Australia.
