Ian Marschner is Professor of Biostatistics and Director of the biostatistics group at CTC. He has 30 years of experience as a biostatistician working on clinical trials and epidemiological research in cardiovascular disease, oncology and HIV/AIDS. His research also focuses on the development of new statistical methodology, particularly for designing and analysing clinical trials. Formerly he was Director of the Asia Biometrics Centre with the pharmaceutical company Pfizer, Head of the Department of Statistics at Macquarie University, and Associate Professor of Biostatistics at Harvard University.
