Blaise Agresta is the Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Lead at the NHMRC CTC, responsible for all HTA assessments the NHMRC CTC are involved with. He has recently re-joined the NHMRC CTC, having spent two years working within the Market Access team within the pharmaceutical industry, identifying their statistical, economic and clinical needs to gain PBS listing for their products. During Blaise’s first appointment at the NHMRC CTC, he was responsible for the clinical and economic evaluation of medical devices for the Department of Health, as well as developing and critiquing clinical guidelines for the NHMRC guidelines department. Prior to this role, he worked in health economic consultancy roles in Australia and the UK as a project lead/health economist. Blaise has particular skills in health economics and biostatistics and has undertaken numerous reviews for Australian Government agencies, particularly for reimbursement through MSAC and PBAC
