Danielle Miller

Business Director

Professionally and personally, Danielle loves making things happen. Danielle is an experienced executive, people and program leader with a strong interest in helping people and organisations make a difference.

In her current role as the CTC Business Director Danielle provides strategic and operational leadership with two major priorities – optimising business growth and driving and leading the CTC business functions. Put simply, Danielle helps ensure that the Centre's strategy is well defined and implemented and that our team of ~200 academic and professional research staff are well supported to do their best work. Danielle’s undergraduate degree was in molecular biology, but she left the laboratory not long after to pursue a career in research project and program management. Her experience includes public health and epidemiological research (at the Cancer Council NSW), clinical trials research (at the NHMRC CTC) and translational research (at Sydney Catalyst). She also recently spent some time leading program development and operations in the not-for-profit sector, before returning to her current role at the CTC. She has a unique breadth of experience across research and business management and leadership, complemented by post graduate qualifications in both areas.

Danielle is strategic, future focused and highly analytical. She strives to be a strong, empathic leader of high performing people and teams. Danielle is an excellent problem solver, eternal pragmatist and loves hearing and telling stories – all the better if the stories relate to how the CTC is improving healthcare and outcomes for Australians and the global community through quality research.
